Courtney Witt is passionate about engaging individuals, couples, and families as they navigate through life's challenges. She believes in offering a counseling experience that allows individuals to feel empowered, safe, and comfortable. She has a particular interest in helping individuals struggling to overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, grief, and other emotional concerns. Courtney utilizes an Attachment Based Therapeutic model in which focuses directly on the family unit; counseling parents to re-establish family roles, strengthen boundaries,and build an emotional and compassionate connection.
Courtney started her career working in community mental health, diagnosing and treating adults with severe mental illness. Her work as a therapist continued at KidsTLC, a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, in Olathe, Kansas, where she provided psychotherapy services to adolescence (age 12-17) dealing with complex trauma.
In addition to her clinical work at Andrews & Associates Counseling, Courtney is pursuing her PhD at Kansas State University - focusing on the parent-child relationship, divorce, and the impact of social media. Courtney is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. She earned her Masters in Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. She expands her clinical expertise through trainings, clinical consultations, and an ongoing commitment to personal and professional growth.
